They are monitored... but most of the time the warnings get bypassed, and so extra measures are taken. People arguing at each other instead of debating is what tends to happen with those kinds of threads; I am lenient a bit in how it's managed, and I expect people to keep things in mind when they create their posts.

If most could just lay down facts and argue with them, it'd be fine. People are also welcome to start again in a new thread if the first one got closed... just make sure everyone involved stays in line.
